Booking a Session
Single Puppy Session: A starter session (under 4 months old) to get your puppy off on the right Paw! Will cover basic obedience and life skills. Priced for new puppies!
Puppy Training Package: For newly homed puppies (under 4 months old) that need to start off on the right paw! These sessions will cover basic obedience and life skills with a focus on prevention of behaviour problems. The puppy package includes 3 in home training sessions, a clicker and a treat bag. Priced for new puppies!
Adolescent and Adult Dog Sessions: For adolescent and adult dogs who need a refresher course on basic, intermediate, or advanced training and minor problem solving. The sessions are individualized to your dog and your issues and can include; listening around distractions, nipping, jumping, chewing, digging, barking, toilet training, unruly behaviour, boundary training, all with positive motivation! Single or package sessions available.
Problem Solving and Behaviour Modification: For adolescent and adult dogs with minor or serious behavioural issues like aggression or phobias. Serious behavioural issues may also include a mandatory vet health check and working alongside your vet to create a behaviour modification plan.
Free Single Session: If you have recently adopted a dog or a puppy from the Wellington or Kapiti SPCA (within three months) you are welcome to book a free in home training session!
Dog Behaviour Group Study Program: This program is designed for humans who want to learn more about dog behaviour and training. It is a 6 month program that meets once a month to discuss behaviour, training, and other canine related topics.
Dancing Dogs Advanced Dog Walker Program: For volunteer dog walkers of Wellington SPCA! A free program designed to help volunteers become more confident dog walkers and to help SPCA dogs become more comfortable in new environments.
Where does the training take place?
The training sessions are usually held in your own home! Some advanced sessions may be held at a local fenced dog park or on walks.
How much does it cost?
I offer rates for single sessions as well as session packages. The number of sessions needed varies based on the needs of that family and dog. I offer lower rates for puppies under 4 months old. Please email or call for more information.
What area does 
serve?
We primarily serve the area from Miramar up to Waikanae, and The Hutt. We will travel outside these areas but may require an extra gas/travel fee.
How long does it take to get an appointment?
Based on availability, we offer three session times/day (including some weekends). These are at 11am, 2pm and 5pm. You can usually book an appointment within one week of calling.
